Some More on Lincoln Day..
Our featured speaker was new state party chair Andy McKenna, he reminded us that we have work to do and asked to ask other to help. That has really stuck with me for the last week.
People want to be involved, they just don't know where to go or who to talk to. So the next time you are talking to a neighbor, someone at church, school or work ask them if they want to come to a central committee meeting with you, go walk the neighborhood with you next time you pass out literature. Most people will not become involved unless we ask them to.
So who have you asked to help the Republican cause this week?
Also as a side note Rod Gidwitz is keeping a 'road diary' (sort of a blog)about his travels around the state as he considers running for governor. Rod was at our Lincoln day (it isn't in the 'road diary') he had a chance to chat with a quite a few folks and I had a nice conversation with him as well.
I introduced Rod at our Lincoln Day and pointed out how I had interviewed with Helene Curtis (he was CEO of Helene Curtis at the time) twice and wasn't offered a job. Since several people asked, I did tell Rod the story first and he suggested I tell the story as part of his introduction. So it was not a surprise....
If I get a chance and if I suspect there is an interest I will offer up some info about the other potential governor candidates who were at Lincoln day during the next week or so.
Remember however
So who have you asked to help the Republican cause this week?
